Our client brief

The client wanted to energise the living environment of this property, with a minimalist clean interior and enlarged basement and ground floor. A modern fit-out for a young family.

Challenges

The property is mid-terraced and had limited windows to support the enhancement aspirations sought by the client.

Strategy

This development involved an intelligent reconfiguration of the internal spaces to promote better flow between spaces, whilst ensuring that spaces were adequately sized and fitted out to facilitate the clients specific spatial requirements.

Resin flooring was introduced to areas intertwined with the original timber flooring to promote a modern flow between spaces delineated by the flooring type. Architectural plaster-in lighting to the ceilings and floor lighting was specified from Kreon, to create subtle intimate lighting that compensates the lack of natural lighting. Bespoke metalwork installations for the staircase balustrade. A freestanding staircase to the mezzanine floor was introduced to open up the flow between spaces. Kitchen fit-out with a bespoke joinery to enable a discreet seamless presence in the open dining space and a range of automation technologies to enhance modern living standards.
