Careers at MSK Design

Join Our Architectural Design Team in High Barnet

MSK Design Ltd is looking to hear from talented and motivated Part 2 architectural assistants, Part 3 candidates, architectural technologists and 3D visualisers who are interested in joining our growing studio.

We are a planning-led architectural design practice based in High Barnet, delivering residential, mixed-use and development-led projects across Barnet, Enfield, North London and surrounding areas.

Our work ranges from carefully considered house extensions and loft conversions through to new build homes, flat conversions, residential developments, mixed-use schemes, technical design packages and construction-stage support.

We are looking for people who are enthusiastic, capable and keen to develop within a practice that values design, planning strategy, technical understanding and clear communication.

Who We Are

MSK Design is a collaborative architectural design practice with a strong focus on residential design, planning strategy and project delivery.

We work closely with homeowners, developers, investors and property owners to unlock the potential of sites and buildings. Our projects often require more than a basic drawing package. They require careful thought, clear planning advice, technical coordination and a practical understanding of how a scheme can move from concept through to approval and construction.

We are selective with the projects we take on and look to work with clients who value considered design, professional advice and a clear route through the development process.

We do not always do simple or easy. At times our work is detailed, demanding and fast-moving. We enjoy what we do, take pride in the projects we deliver and maintain strong working relationships with our clients and consultant teams.

Part 2 Architectural Assistant

We are looking for motivated Part 2 architectural assistants who want to develop their experience across design, planning, technical design and project delivery.

This role would suit candidates who are looking to progress into stronger project-running responsibilities over time and who are interested in gaining broader experience across residential and mixed-use projects.

Candidates should ideally have:

  • a minimum of 2 years’ experience in architectural practice;

  • good AutoCAD skills;

  • Revit experience would be welcomed;

  • a good eye for residential design and spatial planning;

  • basic measured survey skills;

  • an understanding of the planning process;

  • an interest in Building Regulations and technical detailing;

  • good written and verbal communication skills;

  • the ability to work carefully as part of a team.

We are particularly interested in candidates who are keen to develop their planning knowledge, technical understanding and ability to manage projects with increasing independence.
